(AP) - Treasurer John Kennedy says he's "very seriously considering" running for governor in 2015. In his fourth term as treasurer, Kennedy has been a frequent and vocal critic of his fellow Republican, Gov. Bobby Jindal, who is term-limited. Kennedy told the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday that he didn't have a timeline for deciding his 2015 plans. He has eyed the governor's race in past elections, but chosen to instead run for re-election. If he runs for governor, Kennedy's got a hefty account to start his campaign, with $2.3 million according to his latest fundraising report. Other Republicans mentioned as possible gubernatorial candidates include U.S. Sen. David Vitter and Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne. State Rep. John Bel Edwards, chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, has announced his candidacy.
