n Donald Ray Engleton, 51 years of age, Address-Bryant Drive Baton Rouge, La. was arrested on 07/26/2013 @ 9:03am
Charges: Warrants: Failure to Appear-D.W.I. 1st; Probation Violation; Failure to Pay Fine-DWI-1st Offense
Officers of the Morgan City Police Department responded to a complaint of a suspicious subject in the area of Youngs Rd. which was called in by an off duty Morgan City Police Officer. Officers responded and located the subject in question, identified as Donald Engleton. It was discovered that Engleton was wanted on outstanding warrants for the City Court of Morgan City for the above listed charges. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated with a bond of $1,957.00.
n Debra Corter, 42 years of age, Address-Parro Ln. Berwick, Louisiana was arrested on 07/26/2013 @ 10:31am
Charges: Theft of Goods (Value $18.95)
Officers were dispatched to a local supermarket regarding a shoplifter. Officers arrived and were advised that
store employees had detained the above subject, Debra Corter after she was observed attempting to leave the store without paying for items. She was found to be in possession of $18.95 worth of items in question. She
was arrested cuffed and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated
with a bond of $492.00.
n Edward Anthony Gil, 35 years of age, Address-Jennie Drive Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/26/2013 @ 11:34am
Charges: Disturbing the Peace, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Officers were summoned to the Holiday Inn regarding a subject causing a disturbance. Officers arrived to discover that the subject had already left the scene but learned that the subject was enroute to his residence located on Jennie Drive. Officers located the subject on Jennie Drive and attempted to speak with him. The subject appeared disoriented and would not follow officers commands. He went to the area of his residence where he continued his behavior. Gil threw objects from
his pocket where officers observed items of paraphernalia which he had discarded. Officers detained Gil, handcuffing him. The observed the residence was unsecured. Officers secured the residence and upon doing so, observed suspected illegal narcotics which led to officers securing a search warrant for the residence. Upon searching the residence, officers located suspected
marijuana. The subject Gil, was arrested, charged with the above listed charges and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated with a bond of $1,776.00.
n Brandy D. Anthony, 38 years of age, Address-Fairview Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 07/26/2013 @ 1:50pm
Charges: Theft of Goods (less than $100.00)
Officers were summoned to a local supermarket after a female was observed attempting to leave the store without
paying for items. Officers arrived and identified the subject, who had been detained by store employees as
Brandy Anthony. Anthony was observed by store employees attempting to leave the store without paying for
several seafood items. The items were recovered, she was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police
Department where she was booked and released after posting a $492.00 bond.
n Vincent Washington, 59 years of age, Address, Eleventh Street in Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 07/26/2013 @ 7:33pm
Charges: Warrant: Aggravated Assault with Firearm
The subject, Vincent Washington was located in the Brownell Homes area and arrested on an outstanding warrant for the above listed charges. The warrant stems from an incident in July 2013 where the victim alleges that the subject pointed a firearm at them. He was booked into the Morgan City Jail and release on bond.

Officers received a complaint regarding an intruder in a vacant house located on Brashear Avenue. Officers arrived
at the residence and located a subject sleeping inside the vacant house. The subject, identified as Ira Minor was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated on a bond of
$342.00.
n Troy Joseph Madise, 49 years of age, Address-Grizzaffi St. Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 07/26/2013 @ 11:00pm
Charges: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fine(Simple Battery)
Officers patrolling the Railroad Avenue area detained a subject, identified as Troy Madise near the intersection of Railroad Avenue and East Blvd. The subject, Madise was found to be wanted on outstanding warrants for the City Court of Morgan City for the above listed charge. He was arrested, transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he remains incarcerated on a bond of $674.00.
n Jeremie Jacobs Martin, 34 years of age, Address-Fig Street Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 07/27/2013 @ 11:16pm
Charges: Warrants: Stop Sign Violation; Expired License Plate
Officers received a call in regards to a disturbance at a Fig Street residence. Upon arrival, officers located Jeremie Martin who was causing problems at the residence. Martin was discovered to be a wanted person for outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department for the above listed charges. He was arrested, transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
n Thomas Devin Remedies, 20 years of age, Address-Second Street-Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 07/27/2013 @ 7:24pm
Charges: Fugitive Warrant-Terrebone Sheriffs Department for Aggravated Flight from an Officer
Morgan City Police Department received a call to locate the above subject, Thomas Remedies on an outstanding warrant for Terrebone Sheriff's Department. Officers arrived at the subject's residence on Second Street where he was located and placed under arrest on the outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and transferred to Terrebone Parish Authorities.
n Joshua Donnel Robertson, 21 years of age, Address-Railroad Avenue Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 07/27/2013 @ 2:50am
Charges: No Vehicle Insurance; No Drivers License.
Officers investigating a report of an unauthorized use of a moving vehicle located Mr. Joshua Robertson in possession of the vehicle.
Robertson, who did not possess a valid drivers license had no liability insurance on the vehicle in which he was found operating. Robertson was arrested, cuffed and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and released after posting a bond of $572.00.
n Kristyn Parker, 21 years of age, Address-Bowman Street Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 07/27/2013 @ 2:32am
Charges: Two Brake Lamps required; Driving a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License.
Parker was stopped after officers observed the vehcle in which she was driving did not have proper lighting in the area of Hickory Street and Cedar Street. Parker was also found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license. She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
n Joseph Ray Martinez, 23 years of age, Address-Trevino Street in Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 07/28/2012 @ 6:00pm
Charges: Warrant: St. Mary Parish-Issuing Worthless Checks
The above subject, Martinez who was presently incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail was discovered to be a wanted person on an outstanding warrant for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department. He was booked and re-incarcerated into the Morgan City Jail.

Charges: Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License;
He was observed operating a vehicle in the area of Federal and Egle Street when a Morgan City Police officer, aware of his current status, detained him and placed him under arrest.
n Stevenson Sosa, 29 years of age, Address-Aucoin Street-Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 07/28/2013 @ 5:50pm
harges: Domestic Abuse Battery, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Simple Criminal Damage to Property
Officers were dispatched to Walgreens parking lot regarding a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived to investigate, the officers were advised that the above, Stevenson Sosa was in the process of exchanging custody of a minor child at that location. The subject Sosa, became upset with his estranged wife and an argument ensued. Sosa allegedly got into his vehicle and reportedly intentionally struck his spouses vehicle causing damage. The act also damaged a shopping cart
belonging to Walgreens. Sosa, who had left the scene was located at his residence. He was placed under arrest based on witnesses statements as well as physical evidence. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
