Lafayette police are searching for the man who robbed a Moss Street store.
The incident took place around 9:00 last night at the Dollar General in the 4300 block of Moss Street.
Investigators say the suspect entered the store with a handgun and demanded money. He fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the robbery.
This is the third time in just over a month that this store has been robbed. A man wearing a ski mask robbed the store at gunpoint on June 21. On July 14, a masked man again held up the store at gunpoint.
Lafayette police say while they have not ruled out a connection between these cases, they do not know whether or not they are. All three cases remain under investigation.
Police describe the suspect in Sunday's incident as a black male standing between 5'5" and 5'9". He was wearing a red baseball cap, sunglasses, a bandanna over his face, a dark-colored short-sleeve shirt, light-colored pants, and white tennis shoes.
