Baton Rouge police have released the names of the two officers who shot and killed a 32-year-old man who they said tried to run them over. Police spokesman Cpl. Don Coppola said Monday 28-year-old Joshua Guelcih and 43-year-old Michael Davila remain on paid administrative leave as the investigation into Sunday's shooting continues. Guelch has been employed with the department for four years. Davila has been employed with the department since February. Guelch and Davila are accused of shooting and killing Tyris Wilkerson. Police have said officers attempted to stop Wilkerson's SUV for a traffic violation. After a brief chase, police say Wilkerson turned his vehicle toward the officers and one of them fired multiple shots into the front windshield striking Wilkerson in the head.
