Baltimore police say they have arrested a third suspect in the murder of a 1-year-old baby after an investigation that led to Louisiana.
Police say 22-year-old Rashid Mayo was arrested Saturday on the campus of Grambling University.
Mayo was wanted for first-degree murder in the death of 1-year-old Carter Scott on May 24. The boy and his father were shot as they sat in a car in the Cherry Hill neighborhood. The father, Rashaw Scott, was critically injured. The baby died.
Two other suspects were previously arrested and face murder charges. They are 26-year-old Cornell Harvey and 23-year-old Eddie Tarver.
Police have been searching for Mayo for months. In June, investigators said Mayo might be hiding in New York City or the surrounding area.
