The Morse fire chief says he has turned over the investigation of last weekend's house fire to the State Fire Marshal's Office.
According to Chief Hubert Istre of the Morse Volunteer Fire Department, the fire began in the dining room. The cause, however, remains undetermined due to the extent of the blaze.
Istre adds that his fire department is accepting clothing and furniture donations for the family affected by the fire. Anyone interested in donating items to the family may deliver them to the Morse Fire Department on Kruttschmidt Avenue--just off LA 91.
