St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 56 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Vaughsha Dabre Robertson, 22, 121 Sidney Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on July 25, 2013 at 4:32 pm for battery on a police officer. A deputy observed a subject on a motorbike stopped in the roadway on Highway 182 in Centerville. The deputy made contact with the subject and requested that he move the vehicle off the roadway for safety reasons. The subject, later identified as Robertson, refused and pushed the deputy. Robertson was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Juvenile male, 15, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 25, 2013 at 10:15 am on a warrant for aggravated battery and simple battery. A deputy located the juvenile at his residence on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint of a battery at a Franklin residence. According to the complainant, the juvenile struck a male victim on the arm with a pipe and groped a female victim. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Joel A. Porche, 48, 100 Antil Drive, Gibson, LA was arrested on July 25, 2013 at 1:30 pm for simple obstruction of a highway and abuse of toxic vapors. A deputy passing the Thorguson Road intersection on Highway 90 observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the Berwick exit ramp. The driver was slumped over the steering wheel of the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver and requested that the vehicle be moved off of the roadway. The driver pulled forward and continued to drive off the roadway and towards a ditch. The deputy was able to communicate to the driver to stop and he complied. The driver was identified as Porche. While speaking with Porche, the deputy observed canisters of air duster spray. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Porche inhaled the spray causing him to become disoriented. Porche subsequently passed out from inhaling the toxic vapors while in his vehicle. The deputy transported Porche to a local hospital. Porche was later brought to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Robert Beatty, 62, 100 Stephens Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on July 25, 2013 at 12:55 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace intoxicated. A deputy investigating a complaint at Walmart in Bayou Vista made contact with Beatty and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Beatty was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $5000.

Brandie M. Tucker, 20, 132 Todd Lane, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 25, 2013 at 4:26 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a report of shoplifting at Walmart in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store security personnel that Tucker was observed placing items in a bag. Tucker then left the store without paying for the items. Following the investigation, she was released on a summons to appear in court on October 9, 2013.

Stacy Hayes, 44, 1432 Roberts Drive, Houma, LA was arrestedon July 25, 2013 at 11:35 pm for violation of the parish ordinance, loud noise emanating from a motor vehicle. A deputy responded to a complaint of loud music the above listed residence. The deputy advised the residents to turn down the music and they complied. Shortly after leaving the residence, the deputy received another complaint of loud music. The deputy made contact with Hayes and subsequently arrested her for the violation. She was released on a summons to appear in court on October 9, 2013.
