According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 141 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Julia Bailey, 51, 3308 Lake Palourde Dr, Amelia, LA was arrested on August 3, 2012 at 12:05pm at the Berwick Police Department for forgery. A St. Mary Parish Sheriff's detective investigating the forging of checks at a Bayou Vista, LA convenience store located Bailey at the Berwick Police Department. During questioning, Bailey admitted to forging the checks in December of 2011. Bailey was released on a summons to appear in court on October 3, 2012.
Ferrisha Harris, 29, 439 Sorrel Rd, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on August 3, 2012 at 2:00pm at the SMPSO in Franklin, LA on a warrant for simple battery. Harris turned herself in after learning of the warrant for her arrest. Harris was later released on a $500 bond.
Jose Hernandez, 52, 5807 Hwy. 182, Franklin, LA was arrested on August 5, 2012 at 6:37pm at the SMPSO in Morgan City, LA for no driver's license, careless operation of a motor vehicle, hit and run, and failure to report an accident. A deputy responded to a complaint of a crash on Victoria Riverside Rd in Patterson, LA. Upon arrival the deputy discovered a crashed vehicle in a sugarcane field. The driver could not be located. During an investigation contact was made with the driver, Hernandez, at the SMPSO in Morgan City. Hernandez was released on a summons to appear in court on October 29, 2012.
Brandon J. Eues, 22, 1061 Tower Tank Rd, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 5, 2012 at 12:30 am at a lounge in Berwick, LA on a warrant for failure to appear. A deputy assisting Berwick Police with a complaint of a disturbance learned of the warrant for Eues' arrest. Eues was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $279.50 bond.
Jose Bibian, 25, 156 Lenny's Ln, Amelia, LA was arrested on August 5, 2012 at 2:08 am at 152 Lenny's Ln. for simple battery.
Rafael Bibian, 44, 152 Lenny's Ln, Amelia, LA was arrested on August 5, 2012 at 2:08 am at the address above for simple battery.
A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on West Syls Lane in Amelia. The victim stated that during a verbal altercation J. Bibian struck him. During the fight the victim was thrown to the ground and struck by both J. Bibian and R. Bibian. Both suspects were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Both were released on a $500 bond.
