Dao's Gifts and Fine Arts, located at 110 Rue Promenade Ste. 102, Mainstreet River Ranch, in Lafayette,is putting together its first "Harmony Youth Art Exhibit" that specifically encourages local youth, ages 7 to 18, to further explore and work on their artistic abilities.
Registration deadline for qualified youth applicants and exhibition commencement is on Monday, September 3, 2012. The participants will display their personal artwork for 2 months' time at Dao where the public is free to peruse and purchase said artwork. If a piece of artwork is sold, the young artists will receive 100% of the sale. During this 2 month period, visitors will be asked to anonymously vote for their 3 favorite pieces. On Sunday, October 28th, participants and their families as well as local art enthusiasts will be asked to join for an Open House at Dao where a first, second and third place prizes based on the votes will be awarded. Prizewinners will also be able to extend the exhibition of his or her artwork to a full year and be seriously promoted by Dao.
