Leon Wilkerson, the man Duson police charged with second-degree kidnapping and simple rape in missing person Keiosha Felix's case will stay in the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail until Aug. 24. Wilkerson is not allowed to leave the jail until he serves time for a drinking in public charge he received in Baton Rouge, according to Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson Capt. Kip Judice.
After he's served his time, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office will have 10 days to pick him up. Depending on the transportation schedule in Lafayette Parish, Wilkerson could be picked up on Aug. 24 and extradited back to Lafayette Parish.
Felix's family and friends held a candlelight vigil over the weekend for the missing 15-year-old girl. There is still no sign of her whereabouts.
