MONROE, La. (AP) - Michael Calloway of Monroe has been appointed to the Tensas Basin Levee District Board of Commissioners.
The News-Star reports the appointment was made by Gov. Bobby Jindal.
Calloway is the owner of M.A. Calloway Farms. He will represent Ouachita Parish, replacing Harris Brown.
The board is responsible for maintaining levees and related drainage systems in Caldwell, Catahoula, Franklin, LaSalle, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland and West Carroll parishes.
